The Casper Original has a four-layer 10 combination foam construction. This mattress is designed to stay cool. The layers are a combination of Open-Cell Foam, Responsive Memory Foam, Adaptive Transition Foam and Durable Support Foam. Casper mattress cover is cool and breathable. Each layer works together for enhanced comfort, contouring and bounce, motion isolation, temperature controlled sleep and excellent support. The Open-Cell Foam top layer offers a responsive cool sleeping surface by combining convection and conduction, which flow heat away from the body. This design is ideal for hot sleepers.
Casper Original is preferred by users who love a blended foam feel with contouring and bounce. The different environmentally safe layers offer cool comfort and supportive rest. Regardless of your sleeping position preferences, the mattress suits everyone, whether you are a back sleeper, side sleeper or stomach sleeper. The Casper Original has a medium firmness level. The Adaptive Transition Foam layer offers deep comfort on a more resilient surface, allowing even weight distribution. The high-density Memory Foam provides pressure-relief by supporting pressure points through proper sinkage of body curves. The final polyurethane foam support base adds durability and serves as a robust foundation for the mattress. Additionally, if you sleep with a partner, youll prefer Caspers excellent property of reducing motion transfer. Due to the motion isolating feature, it is among the best mattresses for couples.
The Casper Original is 10 with a combination of four foam layers.
The Open-Cell Foam layer is a 1.5 comfort foam that gives the sleeper a soft yet resilient and pressure relieving surface. This layer offers a quick bounce, similar to latex, and has cooling properties that help to regulate body temperature; it is specially designed for hot sleepers.
The Responsive Memory Foam Layer is also 1.5 thick but has a slower response than the top Open-Cell layer. This foam provides exceptional pressure relief to ease back pain with its sinkage property that conforms the body curves and offers excellent lumbar support. Although some people can feel stuck or too hot in memory foam, the responsive layer by Casper brand prevents this reaction because it leverages airflow to pull heat out of the top layer.
The Adaptive Transition Foam layer is also 1.5 in height and is denser than the other two layers. This foam is built for enhanced pressure relief, edge support and adds more bounce to the mattress and even weight distribution. People sleeping with partners can benefit from its motion transfer properties.
The high-density polyurethane foam support layer (Durable Support Foam) is also quick in response to pressure and serves as a strong foundation for the Casper Original construction. This layer supports and strengthens the top layers while adding long-lasting durability to the mattress.

|What setup do you recommend for a Casper mattress?||The type of support that sits under your Casper is just as important as the different layers of foam. It can ultimately affect the lifespan and performance of the mattress. The best option for your Casper mattress is to have it on the Casper foundation and metal bed frame. Some bed frames and foundations don’t offer the right long-term support and using them can cause the mattress to sag. Using the Casper foundation guarantees that you have adequate support for the mattress, regardless of the rest of your setup, for the full 10 years of your warranty. There are a few additional options. If you prefer not to get rid of your existing box spring or foundation, we recommend using a bunkie board between the mattress and box spring. This’ll help ensure that the mattress has even support. If you prefer not to use a boxspring or foundation at all, a firm platform base or a slatted base with unyielding slats thick enough to support the mattress will also work. The general rule of thumb is the firmer, the flatter, the better. However, if you end up keeping your Casper mattress past the 100-night trial, we highly recommend getting the Casper foundation. We spent thousands of hours developing it, it’s designed to perfectly match the mattress, and it’s easy to assemble.|
|When can I expect to receive my Casper products?||Our products typically ship out of their respective facilities via UPS 1-2 business days after you place your order and then take between 1-5 business days in transit to arrive at your door. To streamline production, different products may ship from different facilities, meaning multi-product shipments may not always arrive together. Once your product ships, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. Additionally, more remote areas in Canada may take additional delivery time. If you’ve opted into our in-home delivery and setup, the ETA of your Casper products depends on where you are located. Most zip codes will take 3-5 business days to arrive. In parts of New York City and Los Angeles, you can get your mattress as early as the same day (so long as you check out before 3 PM.|
