Summary

Purple.3

Cost based value

"In terms of quality and cost-based value, Purple.3 is a better mattress than DreamCloud. The strong structure, comfort and support offered by this sleep surface is exceptional."

DreamCloud

Comfort

"In comparison to Purple.3, DreamCloud provides excellent comfort thanks to its superb construction and the use of cozy materials. The comfort layer serves as a cradling support for your body curves."

Purple.3

Support

"Purple.3 has a more adaptive structure providing excellent adjustment per your body weight, as compared to DreamCloud. The weight gets distributed evenly across the surface due to the resilient properties of the mattress."

The Bottom Line

Though the DreamCloud and Purple 3 both hold their own in their respective categories in relieving pressure. The Purple 3 stands alone in its uniqueness. The three inch purple grid is a flexible gel material that is a highly adaptive material that is supposed to adjust to the body's figure to give support in all of the right places. We don’t think it’s doing a good job in that. The honeycomb grid gives a wired bouncy feeling that many sleepers might not like, and it also doesn’t allow maximum airflow, because of the silicone-like material it’s made of. We think that in this comparison the winner is both better, and cheaper. The Dreamcloud, with it’s more "conventional" construction, is super comfortable and supportive.
We saw a huge variety of customers in our showrooms ending up liking the Dreamcloud, and that’s another reason why it’s our winner in this mattress comparison of the Purple 3 Vs dreamcloud.
